ABOUT
Since its founding in 2002, KUBANY has represented a diverse and international group of clients from the fields of architecture, design, real estate, and the visual arts – from large to small and everything in between. The common thread is a shared belief in the power of beauty and in the built and designed environment to improve the world. By heightening the dialogue around culture, beauty and design, KUBANY believes that these topics will then become an indelible part of contemporary discourse. Deeply rooted in culture and savvy about the media, KUBANY has a long history of creating and communicating powerful ideas that transcend traditional publicity and resonate with a wide-ranging, dynamic, and influential audience.
Among the work that the firm is most proud of is representing the Rothko Chapel and helping to promote its work as a place of reflection and as a social-action organization as it underwent a once-in-a-generation restoration and campus expansion; representing, over more than 10 years, the redesign of the World Trade Center site and working with numerous political (federal, state and city) agencies and various client constituencies to launch both 7 World Trade Center and One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) on behalf of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; overseeing the reveal of the new design of the World Trade Center Performing Arts Center in 2016; helping the Museum of Jewish Heritage in lower Manhattan reassert its status as one of the most important Holocaust museums in the country; and launching the non-profit Exhibit Columbus – the annual exploration of architecture, art, design, and community in Columbus, Indiana – and providing ongoing public relations and social media consulting to the organization.
As the media has evolved, so too has the agency. As a full-service communications firm with capabilities across traditional public relations, communications, content creation, creative strategy and social media/digital strategy, KUBANY looks well beyond the marquee print placement to create a strategic plan based in storytelling and brand building that produces careful ubiquity on all platforms – both earned and owned.
With an interest in forging meaningful partnerships while providing communications services, the firm has remained small enough for Elizabeth Kubany to work directly with each client at all times, but is large enough to provide a range of services and expertise. As a practice, KUBANY is dedicated to helping clients disseminate their messages and communicate their stories in the broadest, most significant ways. The work is strategic, targeted and personal. The overarching objectives are to communicate every client’s underlying ethos and ideas and to make the intangible and the abstract feel memorable and enduring – with goal of creating brands that transcend the zeitgeist.
